Seba is excited to report that she began walking, without crutches or any other assistance, the first week of July.  She is thankful that her mobility has improved in such a miraculously short amount of time. She is reminded that for whom much is given much is expected - and she is determined to deliver, taking nothing for granted. With Aquatic Therapy and Physical Therapy behind her Seba takes joy in going for hikes and walks at least once a week. Let's continue to support Seba now that she has regained her strength - all the way to the premier of that big role that'll put her name in lights and propel her career! Her fruitful journey has just begun.

March 14th, 2009 marks the ONE YEAR Anniversary of Seba's ski accident!

Last year on this date Seba almost lost her life in an accident that kept her
bed ridden
for three months with broken bones and facial lacerations! 
Once out of the hospital bed she was able to get around on crutches
and eventually regained the strength in her muscles.
Once able to walk without assistance, Seba was determined more than ever to pursue her goals.
Seba is now actively looking for a Talent Agent
as she continues to
take acting classes and study various techniques.
To celebrate the gift of health and full recuperation
Seba will celebrate her "1 year old pelvic bones" by going on
a long hike - something she was not able to do just 6 months ago.

"THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED ME DURING MY RECOVERY.  IT IS QUITE AN EXPERIENCE TO HAVE GONE THROUGH BUT I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON, AS CLICHE AS IT MAY SOUND. 
MY SKI ACCIDENT TAUGHT ME A VERY IMPORTANT LESSON THAT I'D LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU:
YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE NEXT MOMENT MAY HOLD.  YOUR LIFE COULD CHANGE WITH THE SNAP OF A FINGER.
SO, IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE - GO FOR IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART.  IF THERE IS SOMETHING NICE YOU ARE WAITING TO SAY TO SOMEONE - SAY IT NOW.  EACH DAY YOU WAKE UP - YOU ARE GIVEN ONE MORE OPPORTUNITY AND CHANCE AT LIFE.  BE DEDICATED TO REACHING YOUR GOAL.  STICK WITH IT – FOR YOU MAY BE A LOT CLOSER THAN YOU THINK!  YOU’LL BE BLESSED WITH MORE THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINE.”

Yes... in case you haven't heard, Seba was in a horrible ski accident on March 14th at New Hampshire's Cannon Mt. The accident left her with three breaks in her pelvis and some other soft-tissue damage. A broken pelvis is considered to be the single most painful bone structure in the body to break. It cannot be cast and because it is responsible for supporting all your internal organs, moving around is quite painful. Seba is probably looking at 3 to 6 months of recovery before she will be able to walk without assistance.

 

I will leave the rest of the story to Seba. She should be able to post updates and such to the NEWS area of this site shortly.
